Maria Celina, our director, is an architect, artist, visual poet, performer and professor who explores geometry through the creation of geoletras, geoelementos and geosímbolos, integrating the virtues of geometry with language, objects, philosophical concepts and spaces.
María Celina integrates art, typography and space, geometry, language and poetry, dance and architecture, to unite the elements of her practice through spaces, sculptural walls, murals, installations, artworks, videos, performances, graphic works, prints and books.
Through these possibilities, Maria always takes language as her starting point in her works, considering it the potential and creative material of the human intellect and of our reality, values, and identity. She seeks to open visions, intellectual flights and the educational, social, and political imagination in order to shape, reimagine, and build the future.
Maria questions whether the freedom of imagination, thoughts and life could be elevated and magnified when, by combining language and everyday elements with the abstract, everything acquires inner strength, sound, and an existential connotation.
